Artist Laura Jewell says of the Rural Superstitions and Astrology Series. "Recently I was given a copy the Farmer's Almanac guide that has been passed down through the family from my Great-Grandfather . My family for generations have worked their farms in accordance with the moon phases and signs. I am very interested in the way that farming for ages has been parts science, astrology and chance."
