Northern State University

Northern State University

Last year I was invited by Northern State University's Gallery Director and Professor Greg Blair to have an exhibition in one of their galleries. The date is coming up fast and I am excited to travel up to Aberdeen, SD to display some brand new pieces for the very first time. A reception along with a short artist talk will happen November 6th from 4pm to 6pm. The show will be up from September 7th to November 6th. If you are from around that area I would love to see you at the reception.

The 6th Biennial Governor's Exhibition

I recently recieved the news that my piece "White Clover" was selected to be a part of The 6th Biennial Governor's Exhibition. I am honored to have been selected for this show which travels around the state of South Dakota for two years. You can see the painting "White Clover" at Rug & Relic in Sioux Falls until the 12th of August. Then it will be traveling first to The South Dakota Art Museum on the SDSU campus in Brookings, then to The Dahl Arts Center in Rapid City,  The Washington Pavilion of Arts and Science in Sioux Falls, The John A. Day Gallery on the USD campus in Vermillion, and finishing up at the Dacotah Prairie Museum in Aberdeen.

The Washington Pavilion's 2nd Juried Art Show

I recently got news in the mail that I was accepted I to The Washington Pavilion's 2nd Juried Show here in Sioux Falls. Two years ago was their inaugural juried show and  I was accepted into it as well with my collage piece "Melancholy".

This year my oil painting piece "Every Time the Sign is Correct" was selected. This piece is part of my Rural Superstitions and Astrology series. I am honored to have been selected as part of this showcase of mostly regional artists. The show opens June 20th with a closing reception the day before the exhibition closes on October 5th.

I hope you get a chance to check out the show!

With the nice weather we have been getting up here in South Dakota you just can't help but be invigorated. Along with getting the yard and garden in order I have been spending a fair amount of time in the studio and I am excited to show you the new work.

I will be slowly adding to this new website as well so check back in every so often!
